I had the pleasure of attending a service at a church in honor of the pastor and his wife who knew me for over twenty years. This couple had been in ministry for some 45 years and they built up this church over the years. The church building was quite modest as the church that fellowshipped there was from a humble background. (The church is the body of Christ †all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation). Nevertheless, the service was quite interesting. There were several tributes to the pastor and his wife and we were told how much he had done for the small community. Many had come to know Jesus Christ through this dedicated preacher who had devoted his life to serving God. The church members sang special praise and worship songs and performed skits to show their appreciation for the couple. All in all, the service was fine and at the end, there was a grand luncheon for everyone to partake of.
